Bike Summit Logo
Mayor Abramson’s 2005 Louisville Bicycle Summit needed a logo that spoke to the need for a more bicycle and pedestrian-friendly community. A reference to the bridges includes the Southern Indiana region in the plans. The simple blue and white color scheme suggests blue skies ahead and helped keep the printed pieces within budget.

Elizabeth Ann Warren
Jewelry designer Elizabeth Ann Warren had a distinctive signature, which was developed into a logo for her burgeoning business. The business card places the logo in silver metallic ink against a smooth black background.
Pixeldance Identity
The Pixeldance logo and color scheme were created to suggest creativity, boldness and malleability.
Skinner & Co Identity
Skinner & Co is a film and video production company specializing in documentary filmmaking. The logo was designed to reference letterbox and small screen dimensions. The letterhead repeats a ghosted version of the logo with the center “screen” repositioned each time to represent movement.

Bike Summit Program
The program design for the 2005 Louisville Bicycle Summit fulfilled two needs. The small pocket-sized, uncoated cards outlined the speakers and scheduled events and allowed for note-taking, while the compass clip held the piece together and provided a take-away souvenir for summit participants.
Pitt and Frank Attorneys
To promote one of its specialties, Pitt and Frank, closing attorneys, asked Pixeldance to create a trifold brochure describing 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges. The trifold brochure is laid out in portrait format so it can be easily stashed, unfolded, in a notebook or binder.
Art! Art! Barking Dog Dance Company Brochures
Art! Art! Barking Dog Dance Company asked Pixeldance to create brochures promoting the modern dance company and its educational programs. A family of two-color, tri-fold brochures was established to accomplish the goal. Two of the brochures were completed before the company had to close its doors when one of its artistic directors moved out of state.
Bike Louisville Plan
The Bike Louisville plan, an outgrowth of the mayor’s 2005 Bicycle Summit, needed to be presented to the public in a friendly, inviting and easy-to-read brochure. Primary colors and minimal text set in a tabbed, easy access booklet did the trick. Pixeldance handled the design and copywriting for the piece.
The Bike Louisville plan was recipient of a 2006 Louisville Graphic Design Association 100 Show Silver Award.
Art! Art! Barking Dog Dance Company
Poster and Postcard
In 2005, Art! Art! Barking Dog Dance Company joined forces with other cultural dance companies to present “Freedom and the Faces of Louisville.” The poster and postcard were designed to honor the multicultural nature of the event. Duotone images of the dancers in three vibrant colors spoke to diversity and kept the printing budget under control.
Fetter Printing
Fetter Printing’s annual calendar features the artwork of children based on a chosen theme. Pixeldance designed the 2002 and 2003 calendars in keeping with each year’s theme: “If I Could Go Anywhere” and “When I Wish Upon a Star.”
Project Women Poster
Although it never reached the printing stage, the Project Women poster remains a popular piece among visitors to this web site. Project Women is an organization devoted to improving the lives of homeless, single mothers and their children by assisting mothers in completing their college education. The poster uses words to create an image of mother and child as one.
Thunder and Reins DVD Cover and Poster
“The Thunder and Reins” DVD cover and poster employ a powerful image of Kentucky Derby racehorses thundering toward the finish line to emphasize the focus of the documentary: the courage, strength and stamina necessary for a jockey to cross the finish line at the head of the pack in the world’s most famous horse race.

Motion Athletic
In 2005, a new line of sportswear for the high school and college athlete was developed and marketed under the name Motion Athletic. The client needed a web site that presented its product details in a clean, easy-to-use manner and allowed for online ordering. The site incorporates PHP and MySQL to handle the online ordering and to maintain a database of customers.

“Stress Free: Take Back Your Life” is a video presentation created by Lee Baucom, PhD. It offers practical methods for reducing the level of stress in one’s life. The initial DVD cover and web site design used an eye-catching red with a bold typeface. Later, the client decided to take a more subtle approach to the web site design. The site was redesigned using soothing imagery and a less intense color scheme to focus more on the “free” in “Stress Free.”

“The Blessing of Peace” is a video presentation created by Lee Baucom, M.Div, Th.M., Ph.D., that offers practical methods for reducing stress levels in one’s life. It also provides ways of using one’s faith to eliminate stress. The site is designed to focus on the peace provided through faith.

Shelbyville Brochure
The brochure for Shelbyville, KY builds on the area’s rich tradition as the “Saddlebred Capital of the World.” Offering a history of Shelbyville, as well as a listing of some of its most popular shops and attractions, this brochure is the perfect guide for visitors to the area.
Pixeldance Design created a full-service program package for the Louisville Bicycle Summit, a “paperless” event. The 10-page program created on 4” x 6” cardstock was ingeniously designed with a clock/compass clip as its binder. It was the “talk of the summit” that had over 200 attendees. The summit logo, name tag and postcard were also beautifully designed by Sara Ferebee. I am very pleased to work with such a talented and innovative designer.
Pixeldance also created and produced the Louisville Bicycle Plan that is cleverly designed with the reader in mind. The layout is so eye-catching and unique in addition to being user-friendly that other communities across the nation are emulating it and modeling their bicycle plans after Louisville’s. It is extremely delightful to work with Ms. Ferebee.
Mohammad Nouri
Assistant Director
Louisville Metro Planning & Design Services
Sara Ferebee of Pixeldance Design is quite a talented designer. Her layouts are well designed. I worked with her regularly for about four years during my tenure as the Director of the Old Kentucky Home Tour. In addition to the web design, she created the designs for the tour brochures, t-shirts, bike jerseys, and logo for the tour. She won an award for her bike jersey design for our tour.
She is very proactive and committed to her work. In addition to juggling her other community activities, she will never miss a deadline. Many of the jobs that she takes on are for no-charge (t-shirts for bike rides, etc). She has no problem making requested edits but is also is ready to stand by her design and provide justification as to why the design works.
Sara is very organized and detail oriented. She stays on top of projects and is an excellent communicator. She provides frequent status updates which is a great plus. Once she is assigned a project, there is no need to worry.
I would hire Sara in a minute.
